This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Veloxshot uses, what they do, and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are saved on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize you on subsequent visits and save your preferences. Some cookies are indispensable for the site to function; others help us understand how the site is used or measure marketing campaigns.
How we group cookies
We group cookies into three categories. You decide which non-essential categories you allow:
1. Strictly Necessary
Required for Veloxshot to function. They cannot be deactivated. They include:
- Authentication — keeps you logged into your session (managed by Clerk).
- Cart — saves the photos you selected until you complete the purchase (browser localStorage).
- Language — remembers the language you chose.
- Cookie Consent — saves your choices made in this banner (
vlx_consent, 13 months).
2. Analytics
Helps us understand how the site is used so we can find and resolve issues. Deactivated by default.
- Sentry Session Recording — records anonymous interactions on pages where errors occur, so we can reproduce them. Sensitive content (form fields, photos) is masked.
- User Context in Sentry — when an error occurs, it associates your user ID so we can track the issue. Errors are always captured; if you reject Analytics, they simply remain anonymous.
3. Marketing
Used to measure the effectiveness of advertisements and show you relevant content on other sites. Deactivated by default. There are currently no active marketing cookies; this category exists so that any future tracker (e.g., Meta Pixel) requires your explicit opt-in before executing.
How to change your choice
You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the Cookie Preferences link in the website footer. If you have an account, your choice is also saved in your profile so that it is preserved across devices.
